All-Theatre . . . All The Time

Theatre Instructors: Michael Hume and TBA

2 weeks. 10 plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. 29 lectures/discussions. If you just can’t get enough live theatre in a beautiful setting, this program is for you!

Come spend an exhilarating time in the charming town of Ashland packed with all the theatre we can possibly squeeze in! Go behind-the-scenes to examine the complex workings of an award-winning nationally-acclaimed theatre, meet the imaginative OSF artists who create the magic onstage, and investigate the elements that distinguish a successful production.

This 12-night theatre journey includes 10 plays ranging from Shakespeare’s comedy Love’s Labor’s Lost to the latest in OSF’s American Revolutions in The Way The Mountain Moved to   the much-loved romantic tale of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility. After producing the popular Off The Rails in 2017, OSF is offering another play written by a Native American playwright in Manahatta, a provocative comedy in Destiny of Desire and the U.S. premiere of Snow in Midsummer by Frances Ya-Chu Cowhig. Add in the tragedy of Shakespeare’s Othello, the power of Richard V, the heartbreaking tale of Romeo and Juliet, the riotous Book of Will along with the joy of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! and this will be a theatre experience unlike any other!

Program includes pre- and post-show discussions with an OSF professional artist who will introduce characters and background information for each performance and provide guest instructors to help you get the most out of your theatre experience.
